PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $225,000 - $305,000 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE

The Vice President, Chief of Staff to the Office of the President/CEO serves as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, ensuring priorities advance with clarity and momentum. Acting as an extension of the President/CEO, you'll establish effective organizational rhythms, strengthen cross functional collaboration, coordinate high impact initiatives, and ensure readiness for key internal and external engagements. You'll also lead the executive support team, oversee special projects, and help create the alignment and preparedness needed for the Office of the President/CEO to deliver meaningful impact for BECU's members, teams, and communities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Guide Enterprise Strategy: Work closely with the President/CEO to advance credit union-wide priorities by translating strategy into clear actions, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead High Impact Initiatives: Drive special projects and cross functional efforts assigned by the President/CEO or EMT, ensuring seamless coordination and timely progress.
  • Serve as liaison between the CEO and the EMT, ensuring alignment on priorities, facilitating effective communication and driving accountability across enterprise initiatives.
  • Elevate Executive Communications: Partner with Communications and Strategic Planning to shape messaging, materials, and updates that strengthen executive visibility and alignment.
  • Streamline Operational Rhythms: Manage and continuously improve the operating cadence for the Office of the President/CEO, ensuring the right information, people, and decisions come together at the right time.
  • Solve and Coordinate Proactively: Organize, troubleshoot, and coordinate initiatives on behalf of the President/CEO to keep work flowing smoothly.
  • Optimize Executive Time: Oversee and enhance the President/CEO's calendar strategy and prioritization so their time aligns with the organization's most important needs.
  • Strengthen External Engagements: Coordinate external commitments, such as board activities, industry events, and key stakeholder engagements, ensuring high-quality preparation and follow through.
  • Prepare Leaders for Success: Ensure the President/CEO is fully prepared for meetings, briefings, and presentations, and support EMT and senior leaders with planning and facilitation.
  • Represent Executive Leadership: Act as a liaison between the President/CEO and internal/external stakeholders and represent them in meetings or initiatives when appropriate.
  • Lead and Develop Teams: Coach and develop the executive support team, fostering strong performance, collaboration, and service excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requiresa bachelor'sdegree in business administrationor related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 10 years of people leadership experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience managing executive offices or enterprise operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across complex, cross functional teams to drive outcomes without formal authority.
  • Experience leading strategic enterprise initiatives and programs
