ABOUT THE ROLE

The Laborer installs sealants, caulking, waterproofing, and firestopping systems on buildings and ramps to ensure quality and code compliance. This role works on active construction sites and travels throughout the assigned region. The position requires a detail-oriented, safety-focused individual who takes pride in high-quality field work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Safety of crew/personnel, including proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Sealing of all precast and concrete joints and installation of other sealant or waterproofing systems.
  • Patching and restoration of concrete or other similar surfaces as needed.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Maintain a clean jobsite and trailer/truck.
  • Follow direction of the field supervisor and foreman and bring any problems to their attention.
  • Complete special projects as requested and perform other duties as assigned.


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is a dependable and hands-on construction professional with experience in field-based work and a strong understanding of jobsite expectations. They are safety-conscious, adaptable, and able to deliver consistent, high-quality work while operating in a fast-paced, travel-based environment. This individual is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and works well both independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and to standard.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • Minimum 2 years of construction experience preferred, with precast concrete or construction site experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Understanding of safety requirements and commitment to maintaining a safe jobsite at all times.
  • Ability to adapt to change and support continuous improvement initiatives to achieve best-in-class performance.
  • Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic and self-motivated, results-driven attitude.
  • Ability to learn and perform scopes of work within the sealants and restoration industry.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • Valid driver's license with ability to operate a motor vehicle.


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors year-round
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
