The Position
2026 Summer Intern - Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics - Metabolomics Department Summary The Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) Department at Genentech Research and Early Development (gRED) has a vision to advance the development of safe and efficacious life-changing therapeutics for patients as an integral partner. The Metabolomics and Lipidomics Group under Bioanalysis Function supports research biology, drug discovery and development across Genentech by generating high-quality metabolomics and lipidomics data through the use of state-of-the-art technologies and high-throughput workflows and deciphering biochemical insights for target assessment and biomarker discovery. This internship position is located in South San Francisco CA, on-site. The Opportunity The candidate will support the development and evaluation of quantitative assays for global metabolomics by using various liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) instruments and data processing tools. This position provides an opportunity to significantly advance cutting-edge metabolomics workflows and impact on enhancing reproducibility and standardization of metabolomics assay for research and drug discovery projects. Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location ofCalifornia is $40.00-$46.00 hour.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
