Our Data, Digital and Analytics team (DDA) is dedicated to solving complex healthcare challenges and improving patient outcomes. Data, Digital and Analytics empowers business partners across Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs (CMG) to make impactful decisions by leveraging data, analytics, business products, and AI/ML to enable fast, targeted actions in rapidly evolving business contexts.

This role is part of the Analytics Products Suite team within DDA. Our mission to is to deliver "best in industry" forecasting products to help power our commercialization engine, and turn DDA into a competitive force multiplier to aid our mission of "getting medicines to patients faster".

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help lead the evolution of our Commercial Forecasting ecosystem. In this role, you will bridge the gap between forecasting tools, process, strategy, technology and our forecasters.

You will be the domain expert translating complex pharmaceutical forecasting dynamics into a scalable, modern forecasting products and platform. You will move our organization from a fragmented and semi-manual forecasting product and process, into a unified, predictive, and data-driven forecasting product/platform that enhances transparency, accuracy, and modeling agility. You will be the business product owner for forecasting products in your remit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Business Product Owner and/or Executive Director to support the creation of digital-forward product roadmaps, including experience, features, timelines, and dependencies.

  • Partner with the Technical Product Manager to drive the development and improvement of product(s) or specific product features, ensuring alignment with the overall product vision.

  • Help evangelize the role of product(s) in achieving enterprise objectives, communicating their value proposition and roadmap(s) to senior leaders and organization-wide stakeholders.

  • Act as a point of contact for business feedback, recommendations, and user requests for business requirements and enhancements to the product.

  • Collaborate with the Business Product Owner/Executive Director to establish business standards and templates and ensure pull-through.

  • Oversee business process and user insights collection through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the successful implementation of new features and capabilities.

  • Support the rollout of new features across new and existing users.

  • Drive definition of business requirements for product usage and system health, leveraging GNE and industry standards.

  • Drive experimentation to enhance product offerings, in line with the overall business learning agenda.

  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, IT, and cross-functional enterprise product team partners to align on the product roadmap, fostering cohesive collaboration and unified efforts toward shared goals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and IT partners to ensure successful product integration and execution.

  • Comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Genentech activities.

Who You Are

Minimum Candidate Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience with at least 5 years in bio-pharma forecasting across multiple therapeutic areas and brands.

  • Experience in a product management, product owner, and/or product adjacent role that involved getting a product through its lifecycle.

  • Experience with sole ownership of products or product components, demonstrating the ability to articulate business problems, identify solutions, and drive execution from strategy through implementation.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product roadmaps, including feature planning, timelines, and dependencies.

  • Proven success in aligning stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless product integration.

  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and successfully rolling out new features across various user bases.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience driving experimentation and optimization.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to evangelize product vision and value across all levels of an organization.

  • Proven ability to adapt and navigate ambiguous or evolving environments.

  • Proven ability to push back on stakeholder requests and asks, with rationale and reason when they are misaligned to overall corporate objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, operations, science, marketing, or a related field.

Additional Desired Candidate Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree, or equivalent experience (e.g., MBA or related graduate-level qualification).

  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated industries.

  • Experience working with forecasting tools, decision engines and scenario planning tools

  • Ability to innovate and foster experimentation to improve product capabilities.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $147,600 - $274,200 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
