Description Trails of Orono, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a Chef/Cook to join our team! Trails of Orono Senior Living, is located in Orono, MN. We are in a serene wooded setting just west of Minneapolis and next to the Luce Line Trail. We help seniors Age Magnificently in our apartment-style community providing Assisted Living and Memory Care services. Trails of Orono is an established community with a fun, caring, and passionate team. Join our team today! Shifts: Full-Time (6:30am-2:00pm and 11am-7pm depending on day), with every other weekend rotation. Wage: $17.50-$22.50 Are you compassionate towards others? Our Cook/Chef becomes family and impacts the lives of our residents who live in a Lifespark Senior Living Community. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Duties include: Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures. Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils. Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy. Ensure proper storage for food and supplies. Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in a senior living setting is preferred. Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees. Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
