Overview:

AMD is seeking a technical leader to drive Datacenter Quality Excellence. This role demands aerospace/automotive-grade rigor applied to datacenter infrastructure, ensuring world-class reliability across manufacturing, OEM/ODM quality, component qualification, and material integrity.

Impact:

Bring mission-critical quality rigor to AMD's datacenter solutions-ensuring zero-defect culture, maximum uptime, and customer trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and enforce advanced quality standards for datacenter products, leveraging APQP, PPAP, AS9100, IATF 16949 principles.
  • Drive manufacturing process quality, supplier/OEM/ODM audits, and component-level reliability.
  • Lead FA (Failure Analysis), root cause investigations, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Champion SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement across global supply chain.
  • Collaborate with design, operations, and suppliers to embed design-for-quality principles.

Critical Skills:

  • Expertise in complex quality systems, material science, and datacenter hardware reliability.
  • Strong background in aerospace or automotive quality frameworks.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional quality programs and supplier quality management.
  • Hands-on experience with FA labs, stress testing, and predictive reliability analytics.

Preferred Background:

  • Deep background in Quality Engineering, with exposure to high-reliability industries.
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Systems Engineering.

Location: Austin or Remote US
