The Inspector is responsible for performing quality inspections on incoming materials and components, as well as monitoring and verifying product quality during the manufacturing process. This role ensures compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines to maintain the highest level of product integrity. Which tasks will you perform? You will: Receiving Inspection:
- Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and assemblies against purchase order specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Verify supplier documentation, including Certificates of Conformance and material certifications.
- Perform optical filter checks using spectrophotometer devices to validate transmission and wavelength specifications.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation in the quality system.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming materials; initiate and document DMRs (Defective Material Reports).
In-Process Inspection:
- Perform inspections at designated stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with specifications and work instructions.
- Verify critical dimensions, functional characteristics, and visual quality using appropriate tools and gauges.
- Support production teams by providing feedback on quality issues and assisting with corrective actions.
- Document inspection results and maintain traceability of inspected parts.
What do we expect from you? You:
- Working knowledge of Material Traceability requirements.
- Culturally aware and sensitive to cultural differences, capable of working effectively in cross-cultural teams.
- Perform Operational QC for optical sensors and machine shop parts, including checking documentation according to EN 10204 and ASTM standards
- Familiarity with handling explosion-proof materials
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality inspection preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, and inspection techniques.
- Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, pin/plug gauges, bore gauges, Profilometer/surface finish devices, inspection set ups using granite plate and fixtures) and basic knowledge of GD&T.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation practices.
- Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams application.

The listed salary range for this position is $21 to $26 per hour, but the actual package offered may vary depending on different factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
