Role Overview:

As a Senior Director - Technology Product Manager at FIS, you will be responsible for managing life cycle activities and ensuring the high-quality delivery of technology platforms that are used across the enterprise. You will define and manage the platform delivery roadmap to meet technology requirements in support of the strategy, considering factors such as platform life cycle stage, enterprise goals, solution strategies, and adoption success rates.

Team Environment:

You will work within a collaborative team, driving innovation and excellence in fintech platform management. As a part of the FIS Enterprise Platform Portfolio leadership team, you will partner closely with partners in Engineering to make FIS' platform strategy a reality.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Build and lead the Technical Product Management function for one of our Enterprise Platform Portfolios:
  • API Management & Interfaces: API Framework, API Gateway, API Portal, Eventing, Batch & File Management
  • Customer Identity & Access Management: Authentication, Authorization, Entitlements Engine
  • Quality Engineering, DevSecOps, and Developer Experience: Quality Strategy & Governance, Test Engineering & Automation, DevSecOps, Developer Experienc
  • Manage the platform delivery roadmap and plan to reflect technology and business priorities, integration needs, and technology advancements.
  • Establish and articulate a clear vision of success for the platform, in conjunction with engineering partner. Own the communication and action plans associated with those KPIs. Examples include platform adoption and usage growth, cost optimization or platform efficiency targets, developer productivity improvements, or reductions in security findings.
  • Work with stakeholders and customers across the enterprise to ensure work is properly prioritized. Negotiate conflicts and resolve prioritization collisions. Routinely operate across the matrix of functions across the enterprise landscape.
  • Lead a team of Platform Product Owners. This includes hiring, talent development, succession planning, and coaching in strategic thinking and storytelling. Build a strong product culture across engineering and platform teams.
  • Prepare and present plans, identifying risks, challenges, opportunities, growth strategies, business integration needs, and retirement plans.
  • Review and present platform product roadmaps, providing strategic direction for the product.
  • Manage project inventory during budget planning, coordinate companion activities, and prioritize execution throughout the year, including determining release dates.
  • Work closely with development teams to review enhancement requests for strategic value, aligning resources with high-priority projects.
  • Provide status updates at weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual stakeholder meetings.
  • Present product information and industry thought leadership at webinars and client conferences.
  • Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • Knowledge of relevant technology platforms: Quality Engineering, DevSecOps, Developer Experience, API Management & Interfaces, or Customer IAM.
  • Experience building platforms that serve a portfolio of applications, understanding the nuances of supporting multiple stakeholders who rely on enterprise platforms.
  • General technology skills, industry knowledge, and planning skills. Extensive knowledge of technology delivery methodologies like Waterfall and Agile.
  • Long-term vision and executive presence.
  • At least 15 years of relevant technical or industry experience with at least 5+ years in a Technical Product or Delivery Management leadership role.
  • Effective presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and associated products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, clear, concise, and professional.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making processes related to job tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner.
  • Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization and externally.
  • Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and resourcefulness.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks.

  • Flexibility, versatility, and dependability.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of FIS products and services (a plus, but not required).
  • Knowledge of the financial industry (preferred).

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $166,000.00 - $278,910.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
