A well-established affordable housing community in Rio Rancho, NM, is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager with LIHTC expertise to support daily property operations and resident satisfaction. This role works closely with the Property Manager to ensure compliance, efficient leasing operations, and a positive living experience for residents. Hours & Pay

• Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour, based on experience
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm
• Location: Rio Rancho, NM
• Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire, Full-Time
• Additional Hours: Occasional evenings or weekends as needed
• Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and stooping for up to 8-10 hours; lifting up to 50 lbs

What You'll Do

• Support leasing, marketing, and daily resident relations activities
• Conduct property tours and maintain accurate prospect and resident records
• Complete LIHTC certifications and recertifications with accuracy and compliance
• Collect and post rent, track delinquencies, and assist with renewals and move-outs
• Process invoices and assist with basic financial reporting
• Respond to resident concerns while ensuring Fair Housing compliance
• Step in to support property operations in the absence of the Property Manager

What You Bring

• 1-2 years of onsite property management or leasing experience
• Required experience with LIHTC affordable housing programs
• Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws (Fair Housing Certification preferred)
• Strong customer service, organizational, and computer skills
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment
• Professional demeanor with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset
