As a Security Officer - Data Center Access Driver in Groveland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and support badge and visitor processes while maintaining a strong, visible presence. You will perform routine patrols, document security-related activity, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology workplace.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor badges, and directing guests to proper check-in locations per site procedures.
  • Monitor access control systems and alarms, and report irregular activity per post orders and escalation guidelines.
  • Support a calm, problem-solving response to incidents and critical situations, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Maintain accurate logs of visitor activity, deliveries, and access events, including required incident and shift reports.
  • Coordinate with on-site teams and/or building management to manage access for contractors, vendors, and scheduled deliveries while following site-specific requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned by post orders. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Observe for potential policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or hazards, and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency procedures such as evacuations, medical response coordination, and/or shelter-in-place guidance as directed by site protocols.
  • Use Allied Universal communication tools and site systems to receive assignments, relay updates, and support continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
