You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and report concerns with clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates, guard shacks, and/or reception points by verifying identification, visitor purpose, and authorization to enter.
  • Manage visitor, contractor, and vendor check-in and check-out processes, including issuing temporary credentials and providing site rules and directions.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound truck traffic by confirming appointments, verifying shipping and receiving documentation, and directing drivers to designated staging, dock, and/or yard areas per site procedure.
  • Monitor and respond to access control alarms, door held alerts, and/or other notification systems; escalate concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management as required.
  • Conduct vehicle and property inspections when assigned, such as checking seals, trailers, and cargo areas for signs of tampering and/or policy noncompliance.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire-related notifications, and/or suspicious activity reports.
  • Complete written and electronic reports for daily activity, incidents, access logs, and unusual observations in accordance with site requirements.
  • Operate computers, phones, radios, and/or access control systems to communicate with drivers, employees, and site contacts while maintaining professional customer service.
  • Support loss prevention and theft reduction efforts by observing for unauthorized entry attempts, tailgating, and/or policy violations and reporting concerns promptly.
  • Assist with emergency procedures such as site evacuations, shelter-in-place actions, and/or traffic control during disruptions, following post orders and supervisor direction.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
