As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Perimeter Patrol in Mulberry, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and document observations with clear reports. You will support access control, respond to alarms and service requests, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an industrial chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter routes as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor and control access by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or visitor logs, and directing traffic and deliveries to designated areas per site procedures.
  • Complete routine patrol and incident reports, shift logs, and/or documentation in a clear and timely manner.
  • Observe for unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or policy violations and report concerns through the appropriate chain of command to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Support emergency response activities such as evacuations, severe weather actions, and/or shelter-in-place procedures as directed by site policy and post orders.
  • Operate communication equipment such as radios and phones to coordinate patrol activities and request assistance when needed.
  • Assist with screening and/or monitoring of restricted areas and control points as assigned, including checking doors, gates, and/or barriers for proper status.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to authorized personnel and visitors while maintaining professional, customer-focused service.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
