As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related disturbances, behavioral health concerns, and/or facility alarms as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring doors, entrances, and visitor flow, and by directing individuals to proper check-in areas per site procedures.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions, suspicious behavior, and/or hazards, and promptly communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and/or shift activity documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal standards.
  • Assist with de-escalation by using professional communication, maintaining appropriate distance, and requesting additional support when needed.
  • Support emergency procedures such as fire alarms, severe weather, and/or evacuation events by following post orders and coordinating with site personnel and responding agencies.
  • Perform rounds to check for unsecured doors, restricted-area access concerns, and/or after-hours activity, and report findings through established channels.
  • Use radios, phones, and/or other approved systems to maintain situational awareness and coordinate response actions with teammates and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
