Job Description




As a Security Guard - Credit Union Foot Patrol in Clifton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting, while using basic technology to document activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and promptly notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with visitor management in accordance with site procedures.
  • Observe customer and employee activity for irregular conditions, document observations, and report concerns through the established chain of communication.
  • Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records for management review.
  • Support opening and closing routines as assigned, including checking doors, alarms, and designated areas for irregular conditions.
  • Maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and provide directions and assistance while enforcing site rules when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, 9+hours shifts.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
