Job Description




As a Security Officer - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility in Swiftwater, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will perform routine foot patrols, stay highly visible, and watch for unusual activity that could lead to security-related concerns. You will support access control, assist staff and visitors with professionalism, and document observations and incidents with clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and fire and/or environmental alarms, and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor passes, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and documenting authorized access.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarm panels, and access control notifications, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in a clear, timely manner using site-required forms and/or electronic systems.
  • Provide courteous assistance with directions, escorts, and de-escalation when needed, while maintaining professional boundaries and respecting patient privacy practices.
  • Support site emergency procedures by assisting with evacuations, shelter-in-place, and/or area isolation as directed by site policy and responding agencies.
  • Observe and report hazards, spills, and equipment issues that could impact operations, and route concerns to the appropriate department for follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
