Security Manager

The Security Manager should have experience with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), commercial, and/or other Government experience in performing similar work with emphasis on infrastructure support services, including leadership and other accomplishments.

The Security Manager will be the Lead Security Official for the site.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and coordinate the Safeguards and Security (S&S) Program for the site.
• Developing and implement comprehensive plans, including Program Management Operations, S&S Planning, Physical Protection, Information Security, Personnel Security, and Unclassified Foreign National Access Program.
• Conduct S&S planning activities.
• Develop and coordinate site security activities.
• Provide development and training in accordance with DOE O 470.4, Safeguards and Security Planning.

Requirements:

• Experience managing security requirements at a highly regulated facility, including working with or being designated as a security classification officer and /or Officially Designated Security Authority (ODSA).
• Specialized experience with personnel security support, physical security support, information security support, cyber-security support and document review support.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or equivalent accredited coursework.
• 10 years of DOE or DOD technical security programs experience.
• Requires a DOE "Q" clearance level (or equivalent) at the time of the effective employment date or the ability to obtain such within 12 months of effective employment date.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Successful drug screening.

Desired:

• Experienced and expert knowledge of nuclear security programs with specialized experience implementing DOE security Orders, Policies, and procedures.

Location/Work Arrangement:

• This position is a fully onsite position at (DOE PORTS).

Starting compensation for this role typical salary ranges between ($225,000) and ($275,000) annually is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
