Job Description

The Intern - Graphic Design supports creative initiatives across the organization, producting content for print, digital, outdoor advertising, in-stadium signage, and video. This role combines design, photography, and video editing to enchance marketing, promotions, and fan engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.

    Shoot and edit all video content for social media and in-game big screen elements
  • Capture and edit photos and videos during games, events and behind-the-scenes moments. (Mic'd Up, Highlight Videos, Player Interviews, etc.)
  • Create, shoot and edit marketing related videos for advertising and promotions both in season and off season
  • Develop and maintain a social media content calendar to schedule posts and campaigns aligned with the overall marketing strategy
  • Execute all social media posts across all platforms both in season and off season
  • Develop, suggest and execute new ideas to promote the club through video and digital elements
  • Create digital graphics for social platforms that follow brand and style guides
  • Responsible for creating and developing marketing assets and video content, including development of scripts and copy and digital ad banners as part of the marketing/advertising plan
  • Provide live coverage during games, including live tweeting, posting updates and interacting with fans in real-time
  • Organize and tag proof-of-performance images throughout the Warbirds season to streamline the creation of end-of-season presentations for team partners
  • Assist with field tarp duties as necessary

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Portfolio demonstrating creativity and design skills Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficientlyAbility to problem solve
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their features
  • Intermediate graphic design/video editing skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications
  • Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about sports, baseball, marketing and promotions is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Education and/or Experience

Currently enrolled or recent graduate from an accredited college or university pursuing a Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Sports Marketing/Administration, Marketing, or Marketing Research degree.

Computer Skills

Solid understanding of Adobe CC programs including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Lightroom. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

Work Hours

Business hours are Monday - Friday 9 am - 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays. Hours vary according to the game and event schedule.
