The purpose of this position is to ensure patrons receive outstanding customer service in a clean and safe environment. This is accomplished by providing numerous forms of customer service at the golf course and/or Allen Event Center, including preparing food and drink orders, cleaning public areas used for the consumption of food, stocking, maintaining inventory, conducting financial transactions and maintaining appropriate records. This position provides direction to other employees.

Essential Functions

may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
Provides customer service by greeting patrons, providing facility information, and preparing, assembling and selling food and beverage products.\ Maintains clean and sanitary conditions in public food and beverage consumption areas. Ensure all food preparation areas are cleaned and sanitized appropriately. Processes transactions by operating a Point-of-Sale register and credit card machine, entering and recording sales transactions and taking payments. Maintains and organizes inventory: replace stock as needed at the on-site food/beverage facility, the Turn facility, and/or beverage carts. Completes and maintains appropriate paperwork. Ensures beverage area is set up prior to and closed after each shift by filling ice bins, stocking beer, soft drinks, liquor and cups. Ensure cooking areas are set up prior to and closed after each shift (per Health Department regulations) by cleaning the grill area and prep area, storing food items at proper temperatures and cleaning/sanitizing cooking utensils and preparation surfaces. Opens and closes facilities by organizing food and beverages areas, accounting for cash levels in banks and for deposits, completing appropriate paperwork for reconciliation, and deposits daily sales in the drop safe. Completes deposit paperwork, completes tip report, and creates inventory reports for the following day. Assists with training and the assignment of daily tasks of Food and Beverage specialist and third-party employees. Manage the monthly Bridge Group schedule and Bridge Group contact list. Compiles a bimonthly tip consolidation report for the F&B Manager to review for payroll. Assist F&B Manager in the monthly physical inventory by counting all inventory items and recording the counts on Inventory Sheets to be entered in the Prime Cost report. Assist with Catering events: setting the room with proper furniture and linens, setting the serving tables with chafers and linens, preparation of the beverage station, proper function of the AV system for the event, monitor food during service for proper replenishment, ring up and collect payment once event is over, oversee cleaning and resetting of room for next event according to instructions on the BEO. Assist F&B Manager in ordering inventory items for food and beverage deliveries. Use order guides to order needed inventory to bring depleted levels up to par. Receiving inventory by checking in deliveries and matching them to invoices to assure all items ordered were received. Copy invoices for end of month Prime Cost Report and turning in originals to the office admin for entry in Munis. Support and participate in City of Allen and Department related events as requested.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- High School diploma or equivalent plus one (1) or more years of relevant experience.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Certification and Other Requirements
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- Must be at least eighteen years old
- TABC Certification within 30 days of employment
- Must obtain Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment

- Coordinating tasks and assisting with training for other employees and third-party staff.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around food and beverage areas for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying items such as food trays, beverage containers, and inventory supplies.
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures (e.g., near grills, coolers, and outdoor areas).
- Comfortable working in a busy environment with frequent interruptions and direct interaction with patrons.
- Ability to open and close facilities, which includes handling cash reconciliation, stocking inventory, and securing the premises.
