Job Description: The Design, Training, and Development team aims to optimize the entire professional development (PD) cycle through closely aligning the intent and content of our training experiences (including live and remote synchronous sessions and direct-to-customer asynchronous training experiences) with the capabilities of our Professional Learning Specialists (PLS) to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Our goal is to deliver highly impactful, user-centered training experiences that resonate deeply with educators across diverse educational settings. As the Senior Manager of Digital Professional Development Design & Implementation, you will lead the strategy and execution of Amplify's asynchronous learning experiences. You will oversee how content is authored, delivered and maintained in a PD resource site, including recommending which types of asynchronous resources are developed, to ensure we are providing standardized, high-quality, engaging, and scalable asynchronous PD that meets educator and school leader needs. You will also develop and execute a clear strategy for authoring new courses and migrating content from existing online courses into our new Learning Management System (LMS), as well as hybrid synchronous and asynchronous offerings, ensuring that all team members responsible for course development are effectively trained in the LMS. Success in this role requires expertise in digital production and instructional design, combined with strong operational excellence and project management to drive impactful, cross-functional collaboration. Essential Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Vision and strategy setting: Establish and communicate a clear vision and a standardized, simple and scalable asynchronous PD strategy (ex, asynchronous PD offerings & authoring, LMS capabilities, and migration plans) that aligns with Amplify's overall professional learning goals. Team leadership & collaboration: Collaborate and conduct meetings with PD designers and members of the Design, Training and Development team to align on asynchronous PD strategy, best practices and user needs. Cross-functional leadership & collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to key cross-functional stakeholders (eg, members of our Product, Platform, Insights, Strategy & Development, Marketing, Training & Enablement, Go To Market, and regional teams) to identify opportunities that will enhance the impact of asynchronous PD on customer engagement and retention. Information alignment: Acquire and communicate key information from different Amplify teams related to our asynchronous PD strategy to keep all teams aligned. Contractor management: Manage and mentor contractors who will support asynchronous PD accessibility remediation, through regular check-ins and feedback to drive continuous improvement and high performance. AI strategy development: Lead investigation into AI capabilities, develop recommendations and execute a strategy for leveraging AI to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of PD design.
Manage Execution & Implementation
Excellence in execution: Lead the end-to-end process of projects including, but not limited to:
Developing standardized asynchronous assets: Gathering stakeholder feedback (ex, customers, PD Delivery teams, PD DDesign teams) in order to recommend a standardized suite of asynchronous assets across all Amplify products PD resource sites: Developing and maintaining our PD resource sites (ex, PD Libraries, PD prep sites), including designing and authoring pages to meet key stakeholder feedback and user needs, ensuring that all content is accurate and functional. LMS: Leading the rollout and ongoing management of a new Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it aligns with the DTD team's asynchronous PD goals and integrates seamlessly with our PD resource site from registration to course completion. Online course authoring & migration: Lead the migration of course content between authoring tools and manage online course templates, providing PD designers with streamlined resources for developing engaging course content. Publishing new asynchronous assets: Document the process of capturing, editing and publishing asynchronous assets across our Amplify programs on our PD resource sites and LMS.
Project monitoring: Track progress of multiple projects closely, making necessary adjustments to ensure deadlines are met, within budget, and maintaining high standards of quality. Deliverable management & reporting: Report on project outcomes, maintain appropriate documentation, and share status, progress, and impact to DTD leaders, ensuring transparency and accountability. Issue resolution: Proactively address and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during project execution to keep projects on track. Process optimization: Establish and refine best practices for asynchronous PD workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency. Incorporate feedback: Gather input from various teams to refine and enhance quality of our asynchronous PD strategy and training resources. Use this feedback to make necessary adjustments and improve overall effectiveness. Data gathering and analysis: Partner with the data science team to collect and analyze data from a variety of sources (ex, user feedback, engagement data, etc.) to support strategic decision-making, drive improvements and inform future initiatives.
Design & Product Ownership
Product, platform & LMS expertise: Develop and maintain a strong baseline level of expertise in Amplify products, platform utilization and our new LMS in order to accelerate our asynchronous PD strategy, serving as the go-to expert for queries and issues related to our asynchronous PD site (ex, PD Library) and LMS. Design standards & alignment: Establish clear processes, templates, and guidelines for asynchronous PD assets in order to streamline content creation, drive instructional quality and ensure all assets meet Amplify branding standards. Quality assurance: Regularly review and lead testing of assets, features, system update and integrations across all asynchronous sites & tools to ensure that it yields a delightful customer experience. Training and support: Identify and lead internal and customer-facing training related to our asynchronous PD strategy, providing support and guidance to ensure effective use and implementation of our asynchronous PD site, LMS, etc.
Asynchronous PD Innovation
Evaluate new tools: Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve the efficiency and impact of digital PD. Innovative practices: Stay informed on emerging industry trends in asynchronous AI tools, LMS technology, and online learning to drive ongoing innovation and scalability.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in digital learning, instructional design, LMS administration, professional development or education setting (ex, teaching) At least 2+ or more years of experience implementing, coaching and/or designing PD with an Amplify program Proven knowledge of adult learning principles and experience applying them when delivering learning experiences to adults Demonstrated proficiency with instructional and visual design Proven time management skills when managing multiple, complex tasks Experience developing and managing large-scale projects, including creating detailed project plans and meeting deadlines. Experience analyzing project feedback data and using it to inform implementation next steps Demonstrates exceptional professionalism, poise, and judgment at all times Excellent skill and comfort with technology-based productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Applications, video conferencing programs (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) Is eager and able to pick up any new technology or software with ease. Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to travel for onsite and in-person meetings for approximately 10% of the year
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with WordPress development and authoring. Experience designing and delivering content within the Desmos platform. Experience building learning content using an authoring tool and integrating into courses within an LMS. Experience as an Instructional Leader, Coach and/or Curriculum Developer for a school or district. Experience managing contractors Skill in design tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Descript and/or Canva

The gross salary range for this role is $97,000 - $115,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
