Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring Sr. Product Development Engineer to Develop and/or test electrical/electronic components and/or systems for semiconductor products. Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products (CPUs, GPUs, or other integrated circuit products) from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Perform product characterization to determine product performance and quality of our test patterns and manufactured units at package. Set up automation tools to allow for volume pattern conversion and infrastructure to support production. Maintain production program through Git tools and debug regression errors. Under supervision, exercise judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD systems and products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: One (1) year of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires education or experience in the following:

  • Logic and circuit design;
  • CMOS transistor design;
  • CAD tools;
  • Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL;
  • C, C++, Python, and Ruby;
  • Linux and Windows internals; and
  • SQL.

Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, project, or internship experience. Skills may be gained concurrently.
