Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Aviation Technician in Richmond, Virginia. The Aviation Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of various aircraft, including the Gulfstream G600, Challenger 350, and Citation Encore. Seeking candidates with FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification required; FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) Certification required; A minimum of five years' experience repairing aircraft engines, including a minimum of three years' experience in a Part 91 or Part 135 environment; Experience with large cabin corporate aircraft, Gulfstream strongly preferred; Demonstrated knowledge of planning and implementing maintenance programs and control systems; Extensive experience troubleshooting and diagnosing expert-level mechanical repairs; High school diploma or GED with computer-based aircraft recordkeeping.
Requirements for the Aviation Technician position includes:
Physical requirements must be met for the Aviation Technician job, including regularly being required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or more up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
