Microsoft's Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. • Design and develop full-stack solutions using modern frameworks and cloud services, including intuitive front-end experiences and scalable backend microservices.
• Build secure, high-performance services in the cloud with a security-first mindset and least-privileged access for sensitive data.
• Work with data platforms such as SQL Server, Data Lakes, and graph-based models to unlock insights and enable advanced supply chain capabilities.
• Leverage AI in development by using tools like GitHub Copilot and exploring agentic AI patterns to accelerate delivery and enhance business outcomes.
• Collaborate across teams to define architecture, drive design decisions, and deliver end-to-end solutions that meet compliance and performance standards.
• Innovate continuously by exploring emerging technologies and contributing to best practices that improve transparency and efficiency in global supply chains.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and customer obsession.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience
• Experience infull-stack development (React, C#/Java/Node.js) and cloud technologies.
• Experience with distributed systems, data modeling, and API design.
• Experience in architecting solutions that prioritize scalability, security, and high performance.

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
* Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with graph data models and large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and modern development accelerators (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted tools).
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and make strategic design decisions.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
