Within Azure Data, the databases team builds andmaintainsMicrosoft's operational Database systems. We store and manage data in a structured way to enable multitude of applications across various industries. Responsibilities

Contribute to user experience andinterfacedesign across features by creating flows, wireframes, and highfidelity mockups.

Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to translate requirements into intuitive, usercentered solutions.

Participate in user research activities, includingobservinginterviews, synthesizing insights, and helpingvalidatedesign decisions.

Support the creation and maintenance of design systems, patterns, and documentation to ensure consistency across the product.

Iterate on designs based on feedback, usability findings, and data, refining solutions with guidance from more senior designers.

Communicate designrationale clearlythrough presentations, critiques, and written documentation.

Collaborate with engineering during implementation to ensure highquality execution of design intent.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).

Preferred qualifications:
Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 1+ year(s) relevant internship/work experience working in product or service design OR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 2+ years related work experience working in product or service design OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).

  • This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Product Design IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
