What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties, including regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, disturbances, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local public agencies as directed.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and help maintain orderly entry and exit in accordance with post orders.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and/or shift activity reports, and communicate notable security-related conditions to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement and/or military and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
