Contract Software Engineer (Python/Vue/MySQL) Orem, UT (Hybrid - On-site required) W-2 Candidates only Pay rate range: $55-70 an hour W2 6+ Month Contract Summary We're looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to help migrate several existing applications into a modern development environment. This is a collaborative role working closely with internal teams in Finance and HR. This is not a lone-wolf role - strong communication, teamwork, and a customer-focused mindset are just as important as technical skills. What You'll Do Migrate and modernize existing applications Develop front-end components using Vue.js Build and support back-end services in Python with MySQL Work in Git-based workflows (code reviews, version control) Develop in containerized environments (e.g., Docker) Pair program and collaborate closely with internal developers Use AI coding tools (Claude AI or similar) to improve efficiency Partner with Finance and HR teams to support business workflows What We're Looking For Strong experience with Vue.js, Python, and MySQL Experience modernizing or migrating applications Proficiency with Git and collaborative development practices Familiarity with containerized development Understanding of Finance and HR systems/workflows Comfortable working on-site in a hybrid model Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude #techjobs After you have applied, download our Staffmark Group WorkNOW App to receive real-time job offers and apply for additional opportunities.
