EisnerAmper is seeking a Manager to join our Tax Technology team. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and solution-focused individual that can maximize operational efficiency, drive growth and generate client success through the development of technology solutions and process reengineering.

What Work You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Lead the design, development and rollout of solutions to address diverse needs of the tax group in the areas of data transformation, data integration, compliance and reporting

  • Acts as a liaison between the tax service line and the tax transformation team. Builds working rapport with business stakeholders and technology teams to enable complete understanding of business requirements which will allow for more effective testing and implementation of technology solutions.

  • Analyze existing compliance workflows to identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and digital transformation.

  • Train end users on new tools, workflows, and best practices

  • An ability to handle multiple competing priorities and communicate effectively to all levels of the organization will be critical to success in this role. Equally important will be the ability to apply tax expertise and experience to evaluating the technologies and making recommendations to the product team for future enhancements.

  • Apply tax compliance and technology experience to complex problems to propose innovative solutions

  • Collaborate with tax and transformation teams to identify metrics that measure the efficiency and effectiveness of new technologies.

  • Assist in identification, evaluation and selection of new tools and technologies to be integrated into the tax compliance process

  • Mentor and direct junior tax technology members and guide them in delivering on their assigned tasks.

  • Lead and contribute to thoughtful and creative discussions with project sponsor(s), stakeholders, department and leadership on strategic goals, resources, scheduling, plans and challenges.

  • Plans, designs, and executes testing practices to validate the solutions meet the functional specifications including user interfaces, business logic, data access, etc.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS in Accounting, Business Management, Computer Science, or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of experience in tax compliance and/or tax technology in public accounting or with a mix of public/private experience

  • Familiarity with Alteryx, PowerBI, SQL, Python, REST APIs or other similar solution

  • Experience with Excel, including VBA and complex queries

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Partnership, Individual. or Corporate tax returns

  • Exposure to tax applications such Wolter Kluwer's CCH Axcess and Thomson Reuters GoSystem

  • Experience using or creating AI-based workflows or agents

  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Computer Science or equivalent

  • Background in developing and presenting live trainings and creating end-user documentation including user guides, knowledge documents, and training materials.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skill and a team player who works well with functional and technical resources; aptitude for taking strategic direction from executive management and see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.

  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, C#, or JavaScript

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
