About the role

Vivint is looking for a Product Marketing Intern to help shape how we talk about our

products and services-what we say, how we say it, and why customers should care. You'll

work on real launch and lifecycle messaging, turn customer and market insights into clear

positioning, and help build storylines that show up everywhere: sales conversations, app

experiences, web pages, emails, and more.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves tight writing, strong opinions (backed by

evidence), and the challenge of turning complex tech into simple, compelling value.

What you'll do

* Develop messaging frameworks for Vivint products and services (positioning,

value props, benefit ladders, RTBs, proof points).

* Translate insights into messaging by synthesizing voice-of-customer, sales

feedback, competitive research, and product documentation.

* Create copy and concept tests (A/B ideas, headline sets, elevator pitches, landing page outlines, sales talk tracks).

* Support messaging for launches + evergreen improvements across owned

channels (web, email, in-app, retail/field sales).

* Build competitive comparisons: what others claim, how they prove it, where

they're weak, and how Vivint can win.

* Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Creative, and Brand to align

messaging and make it usable in the real world.

* Present recommendations in clear, structured docs/decks with examples,

rationale, and next steps.

Example projects (what you might own)

* Create a messaging strategy for a new product feature or service tier, including

positioning + headline system.

* Rewrite a product page's hero messaging and section flow using customer-led

insights.

* Build a "sales-ready" talk track: objection handling, proof points, and 30-second

pitch variants.

* Produce a competitive messaging teardown and "Vivint angle" recommendation.

What we're looking for

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business,

Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).

* Strong writing skills: clear, concise, customer-friendly.

* Comfort with ambiguity-you can take a messy problem and make it structured.

* Curiosity about consumer tech, smart home, security, and/or energy management.

* Basic research chops: you can find patterns in reviews, forums, call notes, and

competitor materials.

* Ability to manage multiple workstreams and hit deadlines.

Nice to have

* Experience with messaging frameworks (positioning, JTBD, segmentation, benefit

ladders).

* Familiarity with testing/optimization (A/B testing, surveys, concept testing).

* Design sense for how messaging shows up in layouts (doesn't need to be a

designer).

* Prior internship/project work in marketing, product, or writing-heavy roles.

What success looks like

* You produce usable messaging that teams actually adopt-not just theory.

* Your work is insight-backed (not vibes-backed).

* Your writing makes complex ideas feel obvious, simple, and compelling.

* Stakeholders come to you because your output is organized, fast, and high quality.
