How you'll make an impact:

The ideal candidate will possess solid computer science fundamentals and strong understanding of web development principles with experience using modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically Angular, developing enterprise level high volume web applications. This role will lead a full agile team consisting of a mix of Angular front-end and Java Microservices developers along with integrated UX and quality engineers. This role will work very closely with product managers to understand the business and product requirements, while helping define the technical requirements for the application, and providing the technical approach for the development team, relying on established architecture patterns.

What you'll do:

  • Be a hands-on engineering leader that is able to analyze complex business problems and come up with innovative technical solutions

  • Work closely with internal business partners and product team members to understand the product requirements and be able to lead technical discussions on the solutions with the goal of improving resiliency in the existing application

  • Provide technical leadership to the team while guiding them on successful established architecture patterns for the application.

  • Build and maintain modern, scalable, and robust web applications, utilizing SiriusXM's technology stack

  • Continuously optimize, monitor, and test your designs

  • Collaborate with other UX Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products

  • Follow high-level of standards across all levels of design and development work

  • Show enthusiasm and a sense of ownership for the system and its components that are vital to the success of the business

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience developing scalable, high volume web applications

  • At least 5+ years of experience as an Angular Lead Engineer at an enterprise level

  • Experience utilizing NgRx Store and RxJS

  • Experience creating custom, reusable modules and components to extend core Angular

  • Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, Karma, etc.

  • Experience working in a Continuous Integration and Delivery environment

  • Experience in Full Stack Development (Angular + Microservices)

  • Top-notch interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels

  • Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $100,800 to $158,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
