How You'll Make an Impact:

As a Quality Engineer III, you will participate in end-to-end testing across various SiriusXM platforms, contributing to the quality of products through your expertise in test planning, execution, and process improvements. You'll leverage advanced quality engineering methodologies to implement test scenarios, identify and resolve complex technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold SiriusXM's high standards of quality.

What You'll Do:

• End-to-End Test Execution and Process Improvement

  • Participate in testing for entire projects, identifying areas for process improvement to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Analyze business requirements, design documents, and technical specifications to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability.

  • Create, execute, and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality across platforms.

• Technical Problem-Solving and Collaboration

  • Apply advanced testing methodologies to troubleshoot and isolate issues across the full technology stack.

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other QE team members on feature testing, bug tracking, and test coverage improvements.

  • Attend design and product update meetings, representing the Quality Engineering team and advocating for testing best practices.

• Advanced Knowledge in Quality Engineering

  • Design and execute complex test scenarios, using insights from SDLC methodologies and industry best practices to inform testing strategies.

  • Proactively learn backend infrastructure, services, APIs, and keep updated on new testing and technology trends.

  • Support the automation team by coordinating the automation of manual tests, contributing to a robust testing process.

• Metrics and Reporting

  • Provide quality metrics and status updates for stakeholders during the testing cycle, keeping project teams informed on testing progress and any identified issues.

  • Contribute to defining and enforcing quality engineering processes, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals.

What You'll Need:

• Educational Background and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or 3-6 years of experience in Quality Engineering or a similar technical field.

• Technical Expertise

  • Proficiency in quality engineering methodologies and familiarity with digital streaming devices and current industry trends.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and experience with test planning, execution, and analysis for complex software systems.

• Communication and Collaboration Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, developers, and external partners.

  • Ability to work independently, collaborate in a team setting, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
