What to Expect

The Tesla Megafactory team is looking for an experienced Content Producer to join our team. Being up to date on Tesla's product and process updates, training materials, and cross-departmental knowledge is critical to providing exceptional customer experience. The Content Producer on the Megafactory Training Team will be key to continuing Tesla's growth and providing improved internal resources and relevant Megafactory updates.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial or manufacturing environments with expertise in video recording and editing tools. Photography experience will be a plus. They will also have a strong desire to help build and maintain a world class training program in a dynamic industry-defining organization. This producer will have a passion for teaching others and achieving excellence throughinstruction and problem-solving actions. They possess natural leadership skills, are innovative, and are critical thinkers. They will work within a highly functioning team and must be self-motivated. They have the desire and ability to navigate through multiple competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that changes day to day.


What You'll Do
  • Develop high quality, engaging audio/visual training content on a wide variety of subjects in concert with factory SMEs and is able to track record of content impact and results on everyday Megafactory operations
  • Communicate business impact of produced content to senior-level executives and work holistically across functions to drive a unified voice and amplify and align key messages and content
  • Manage all aspects of production from script writing, scheduling shooting, editing, and motion graphics. Create a wide variety of digital content, including animation, photography, and more
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Subject Matter Experts, engineers, technicians, product managers, and content developers to define training objectives, gather video resources, and transform complex technical information into clear, engaging content
  • Work on the production floor to gather active operations video and photos along with maintaining and updating existing content and work with various parts of the Manufacturing training teams to manage content storage and identify tracking measures-of-success
  • Manage tasks and information flow using collaboration software (such as JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence, and custom databases)
  • Builder mentally with a bias for learning, eager to explore new tools, techniques and workflows

What You'll Bring
  • Able to lift 40 lbs., walk 5-10 miles per day, and climb multiple flights of stairs
  • Degree in Video Editing and Video Production, or equivalent experience
  • Professional experience and expertise in camera systems (RED, Sony, Canon, DJI etc..) and technical settings (RAW / Log, ISO, Frame Rates) Proficient in post-production software and workflows (Adobe Creative Suite apps including Premier, Photoshop, Lightroom and After Effects. Color grading and graphic design experience is a plus
  • Organize and prioritize work meeting critical time deadlines. Proofread work and produce accurate finished copy. Maintain accurate logs, records, and files of work performed
  • Knowledge of methods, techniques, resources, and materials used in video editing and an understanding of and commitment to Tesla's teaching, mission, and philosophy
  • Innovative, flexible, positive teaching style and understanding the needs of students from diverse backgrounds with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross functional teams with diverse technical and experience levels
  • Skilled in analytical problem-solving and proficient with video, audio, image editing tools, and other technology platforms. Comfortable navigating multiple projects within tight timelines and always seeking opportunities for improvement
