Find your calling at Mercy! The Nurse Supervisor LPN - Primary Care will serve an integral role in Mercy's efforts to implement high-quality and patient-centric care delivery. This role will be responsible for supporting the team of Primary Care Nurses under the direction of the Primary Care Nurse Manager. This role will form collaborative relationships with the clinic managers and interdisciplinary teams, coordinate daily activities, support hiring and training personnel in the responsibilities of their job functions, and assist the manager in education. Position Details:

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 3 years clinical healthcare and leadership experience.
Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure. Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

Certification(s):
NOTE: one or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:
* ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
* PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
* PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
* S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
* BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
* IV Certification within 1 year of hire
* Other unit specific certifications as required.

* Knowledge of ambulatory clinic operations and clinical triage
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills

* Knowledge of evidence-based medicine, analytical skills and good clinical inquiry and investigational aptitude
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
* Self-directed and able to perform independently with minimal oversight
* Strong knowledge of primary care, practice safety processes and quality improvement initiatives
* Track record of developing and implementing processes for providing excellent customer service
* Knowledge of clinical procedures and regulations and best practices in healthcare
* Skilled in observation, training and evaluating clinical/patient care competencies
* Ability to effectively leverage business and organizational knowledge within and across functional areas
* Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, driven and focused work ethic
* Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively
* Ability to build a relationship and work effectively with various interdisciplinary teams
* Excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situations, determine risks, and find solutions to prevent future issues and resolve recurring defects
* A problem-solving orientation and eagerness to identify process gaps and implement practical solution

Physical Requirements:
* Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
* Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
* Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
