General Job Summary:

This position requires a strong interest in controls engineering related to turbomachinery for gas turbine engines, control systems, vehicle integration and development rigs. You will be provided with a mentor to learn controls engineering for gas turbine engines, engineering tools and processes, and aircraft systems.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Designs and supports control systems that enable aircraft mechanical, propulsion, component structures, systems, and processes
  • Applies electronic control systems, designs, and assists in the manufacture of consumer products and in the development of new electro-mechanical concepts for new product lines
  • Responsible for assembling components, preparing test plans, and supporting testing and validation of products
  • Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Uses computer-aided design and analysis tools to perform complex engineering tasks
  • Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new or modified assemblies and components
  • Documents changes through a formal engineering change notification process
  • Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
  • Works on problems of limited scope
  • Normally receives detailed instructions on all work
  • Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and governmentirequirements
  • Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies
