Bio-Rad Laboratories is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as Senior Director of Corporate Communications. In this newly created role you will centralize and elevate Bio-Rad's global communications function, shaping and executing a proactive, comprehensive internal and external communications function that inspires employees, strengthens stakeholder trust, and fosters a deep sense of pride and belonging across our global organization.

You will define and deliver an enterprise-wide communications strategy and process that clearly articulates Bio-Rad's purpose, values, and identity through consistent and impactful narratives. Finally, you will collaborate closely with senior business leaders, agency partners, and global teams to ensure messaging is aligned, engaging, and adaptable to a rapidly evolving business landscape.

How You'll Make An Impact:

Internal Communications



  • Define and lead the global internal communications vision and strategy to ensure alignment with Bio-Rad's mission, values, and priorities.
  • Develop and execute messaging that supports clarity, change adoption, inclusion, and brand positioning-integrating new employees into Bio-Rad's culture.
  • Collaborate with Business Groups and Functional leaders to ensure managers are equipped to deliver consistent, impactful communications on critical initiatives and priorities.
  • Create compelling stories that connect employees to company goals, ensuring accessibility across multiple channels, including digital platforms, intranet, and on-site.
  • Embed communication strategies into key business initiatives, organizational changes, and transformation efforts.


Leadership Communications



  • Advise and support the Executive Leadership Team and senior leaders to enhance visibility, align teams, and amplify Bio-Rad's culture and business objectives.
  • Create executive communications, including presentations, internal messages, videos, posts, and event scripts and maintain an editorial calendar for leadership communications.
  • Oversee, prep, plan internal events such as town halls, ELT leadership forums, and key company-wide meetings.
  • Partner with risk management to lead timely, clear, and consistent internal communications during incidents, prioritizing employee well-being and operational continuity.


External Communications



  • Develop and oversee proactive public relations strategies, building strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to elevate Bio-Rad's reputation.
  • Partner with Investor Relations to ensure consistent and strategic messaging across all external channels.
  • Lead external crisis communication planning and execution to safeguard the company's brand and reputation during critical events.



What You Bring:

Skills & Qualifications



  • 15+ years leading internal and external communications functions, preferably within the life sciences sector and in a global context.
  • Strong executive presence and influence skills with a track record of partnering with senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to develop and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Prior experience in healthcare preferred or related industries.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise-level communications strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Proven experience coaching senior leaders, shaping their voice, and creating messaging that inspires and aligns global teams.
  • Ability to distill complex topics into clear, compelling narratives tailored for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-performing, cross-functional, and global teams.
  • Proficiency in communicating through organizational transformations, sensitive events, and high-stakes moments.
  • Ability to leverage employee engagement metrics and feedback to inform strategy and measure impact.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $233,600 to $321,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
