Job Summary Instruct students in networking, operation system administration, and cybersecurity. Provide practical hands-on, project-based, and competency-based instruction. This position is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in either cybersecurity, software development, networking, or related experience in computer information systems. Develop and prepare course materials for newly emerging and established cyber technologies, processes, and content for structured, hybrid, and online classes. Essential Functions Oversees and instructs students in a classroom (at Main and North campuses) and/or online setting; uses multiple instructional delivery systems with an emphasis on technology; uses course management software such as Canvas; develops business programs; develops written syllabi/course outlines and course materials; evaluates assess knowledge of subject matter taught and monitors students' scholastic records; prepares and grades exams; develops and enhances knowledge of subject matter taught and individual training skills required to remain current with new trends and develops in the field through attendance at conferences, courses, seminars and/or workshops; maintains office hours to assist and advises students; and participates in district-wide, campus, and external committees. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in the field to be taught OR Master's degree in any field plus 18 graduate hours OR Master's degree in any field plus 24 upper division or graduate hours OR Bachelor's degree and three years of occupational experience in the field to be taught OR Five years occupational experience in the field to be taught Desired Qualifications A. Experience in related fields of Computer Information Systems, Networking, or Cybersecurity. B. Facilitate trainings in a professional environment (corporate or academic) in Computer Information Systems, Networking, or Cybersecurity. C. Experience building and maintaining relationships with industry stakeholders, government agencies, or other academic institutions. D. Experience in the design and implementation of computer information systems, networking, or cybersecurity course offerings using a learning management system (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard. E. Industry certifications in Computer Information Systems or Cybersecurity: such as, Network+, Linux+ or Red Hat Certification, Server+, CSA or CySA+. F. Experience as a program director, department chair, or equivalent position overseeing the development and administration of cybersecurity curricula and programs. G. One year of full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two years. Special Working Conditions
