    Starting pay is $15 per hour depending on experience and certifications.

    Summary/Primary Objective of Position:

    To create a fun learning environment during the diving classes. Coaches should be able to empower every participant with the skills, knowledge, and confidence in their diving ability.

    Typical Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    1. Teach diving lessons.
    2. Greet visitors and provide information on pool and diving facilities.
    3. Enforce pool policies, rules, and regulations.
    4. Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies.
    5. Complete records and reports as needed.
    6. Monitor facility and equipment to ensure safety.
    7. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

    Training and Experience:

    1. Completed a minimum of 2 years of participation in any competitive diving program. (club team, high school, college, etc.)
    2. Evidence of previous successful coaching experience preferred.

    Licensing Requirements:

    1. MN coaching license preferred.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    1. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in diving safety and techniques.
    2. Demonstrated leadership and public relations skills.
    3. Evidence of passion for working with children.
    4. Evidence of positive interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to both children and adults.
    5. Evidence of ability to accept direction and work as a team member.
    6. Evidence of understanding of and willingness to abide by confidentiality policy and practice.
    7. Demonstrate ability to take initiative.
    8. Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
    9. Evidence of good human relations skills in working with students, staff, parents and community
