THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a lead systems engineer to lead the endtoend design of complex, highspeed printed circuit boards and platform subsystems. You own schematic and constraints for highspeed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, DDR, USB, Ethernet/SerDes), drive layout and SI/PI closure, and lead bringup and validation through production release. This role requires deep collaboration with SI/PI, packaging, thermal/mechanical, firmware, and validation teams, plus the technical leadership expected of SMTS to mentor peers and influence crossfunctional outcomes

THE PERSON:

The ideal person is a collaborative and detailoriented engineering professional with strong problemsolving and communication skills. They excel in leading driver release testing activities, improving and simplifying testing flows, and enhancing overall Radeon driver release quality. This individual has experience building and maintaining automated test infrastructure, deploying labbased test farms, and mentoring junior engineers in effective test execution. They are comfortable exploring new QA methodologies, identifying opportunities for automation, and reviewing test scripts to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with feature implementations. The ideal candidate confidently reviews test case content with development teams, supports code and changelist reviews when needed, and guides exploratory session testing for emerging features. They thrive in crossfunctional environments and collaborate effectively with silicon design engineering teams to deliver highquality, reliable outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Schematic Design Ownership for Complex Boards
  • Establish and Uphold Layout Guidelines
  • Signal Integrity/Power Integrity (SI/PI) Closure Leadership
  • Pinout/XDC Delivery and Cross-Domain Dependency Management
  • Facilitate Design Reviews and Cross-Functional Checkpoints
  • Release Manufacturing Artifacts:
  • Board and System Bring-Up Ownership

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in high-speed circuits, including PCIe, USB, Ethernet and optical transceivers
  • Experience in CAD tools OrCAD or System Capture.
  • Experience in Xilinx FPGA and tools.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering

This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
