Customer Technology Manager

This is a customer-facing leadership role focused on driving adoption, utilization, and business value from Caterpillar digital solutions. (Please note: Thisis not an IT or Systems administration position.
As the Customer Technology Manager, you will lead a team responsible for helping customers successfully adopt and use Caterpillar digital tools to improve equipment performance, uptime, and total cost of ownership. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and operations to integrate digital solutions into equipment, parts, and service offerings while driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
What You Will Do in This Role:
  • Lead customer onboarding, training, and adoption of Caterpillar digital solutions to drive measurable improvements in uptime, efficiency, and operating costs.
  • Increase customer utilization of Cat digital tools by translating features into practical, real-world use cases that support daily operations.
  • Partner with sales teams to embed digital solutions into new, used, and rental equipment offerings as part of a broader value proposition.
  • Work directly with customers to understand operational challenges and recommend digital solutions that deliver clear business outcomes.
  • Own the customer experience for digital solution adoption, reporting, and ongoing use, ensuring tools are intuitive, relevant, and results-driven.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a customer-focused team responsible for training, adoption, and solution delivery.
  • Support revenue growth and customer retention by increasing adoption and effective use of digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing to clearly position digital solutions around customer value and operational impact.
  • Guide the use of VisionLink insights and reporting to help customers make better, faster equipment and fleet decisions.
  • Travel as required to support training and other company locations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working directly with customers in construction, heavy equipment, fleet, or field-based environments.
  • Background in construction technology, equipment solutions, customer success, operations, or training
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate digital tools into real-world customer benefits.
  • Proven people leadership experience with a focus on coaching, development, and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience supporting revenue-generating solutions and customer adoption initiatives.
