Position Summary:

Gas T&D Operations Leadershipis responsible formanaging teams directly or indirectly involved in operations & maintenance of the gas transmission and distribution system including completing all unplanned, emergent work and all mandated program work. Oversight of personnel performing maintenance work, short-cycle construction work,Electric civil work,I&Ractivitiesand all mandated programs. Manage teams that work on:

*Complete all unplanned, emergent work

*Execute the required Operations & Maintenance Plan leak survey, leak repair, I&R,locate& mark, corrosion remediation, and patrolling work as listed in the annual workplan.

*Document completed work to share with Engineering to update Enterprise Systems (GIS)

*Make minor adjustments to achieve the workplan as defined by the Asset & Resource Management (<10% variation to original plan)

*Communicate concernsregardingscope, schedule, and cost to Resource Management for adjustment

*Manage pressure regulation, odorization, instrumentation assets and inform Asset Management of future needs to incorporate into the yearly Asset Plan Address emergency situations that arise as a first responder

*Forecast Emergency Work, Maintenance Work, Leak Survey and Leak Repair.

*Emergency response & fulfillment of Incident Commander role

*Develop work force strategy (internal & external)

*Inspect &validatework

Leadersdemonstratesafety leadership and promote a safety culture among all employees for themselves, customers, and thegeneral public. Contribute toward Gas Safety Excellence goals by improving safety,reliabilityand affordability for one or more asset families and one or more life cycles.

This job is also eligible toparticipatein PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs

PG&E isprovidingthe salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $ 126,000.

Bay Area Maximum: $ 200,000.

&/OR

California Minimum: $ 120,000.

CaliforniaMaximum: $ 290,00.

  • This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening

Responsibilities:

*Manages a team a team of gas craft employees, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements and alignment with company values.

*Servescustomers by providingtimelycompletion of gas maintenance, gas construction, transmission & regulatory work,and orgas damage control. Ensures that work is executed safely including personal and public safety metrics

*Manages emergency responses to all requests including equipment maintenance, ensuring employees respondin a timely mannerandprovidetotal quality service.

*Monitors compliancetostandards and specifications, to achieve high quality work the first time done. Develops action plans to address deficiencies in process or employee skill/knowledge and tracks the progress of those plans.

*Ensures work is executed within scope,scheduleand cost expectations

*Identifiesandpursuesproductivity improvements andimplementswork practices to reduce operating costs while meeting corporate and regulatory compliance.

*Completesandmaintainsall work documentation and/or reporting.

*Communicates business goals andobjectivesto the work group and holds all accountable tosame.

*Develops the business knowledge and technical skills of all field employees. Fosters teamwork withinworkgroup and across all company functions.

*Ensures that customers' needs and expectations are met; ensures clear, professional, proactive communication with customers.

*Fully implements and holds subordinates accountable for safety best practices and adherence to the safety accountability model. Ensures full compliance with the Injury & Illness Prevention Program, working closely with area Safety ProgramCoordinators.Facilitatesweekly team meetings/tailboards and adjunct training as needed.

*Oversees both projects and 2nd party contracting within the area of responsibility

*Ensures mandated compliance dates and regulations are met

*Reviews leak investigation documents and leak survey maps for accuracy and completeness.

*Ensures complianceof:1) leak grading and 2) L&M & Leak Survey tools and equipment as required by the CPUC.

*Leads root-cause investigationsonall PG&E at-fault dig-ins and/or reportable events.

*Monitorsthe Gas Operator Qualification (OQ) Program and ensures compliance. Maintains craft qualification records for employees, such as welding and plastic fusion as required by CPUC.

*Ensures all associated paperwork and work packages areaccurate.

*Reviews all department maintenance documents for accuracy and completeness prior to filing for future reference or for audit purposes.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

*High-School Diploma or GED

*CA Driver's License

*5 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience may include exposure to utility, maintenance, construction, operations,logisticsor service planning work.

Desired:

*Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Construction, Civil or Mechanical Engineering

*Previousleadership experience, e.g., as a crewforeman.

*Experience leading union- represented employees.

*Utility experience.

*Experience serving and meeting the needs of internal and/or external customers.
