Responsibilities

This is a junior-level position ideal for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a data science-related field and entry-level professional or military experience. We are not seeking an expert; rather, someone who is motivated, curious, and eager to learn from senior analysts and data scientists in a mission-focused environment.

There are three openings:

    Two positions focused on activity-based intelligence (ABI) and data modeling
  • One position focused on traditional data science

All three roles share the same must-have qualifications, with role-specific nice-to-have skills outlined below.



Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to take a CI polygraph
  • Ability to work on-site in Springfield, VA, 40 hours per week (very limited telework)
  • Proficiency in Python

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Data Modeler / ABI Focus (2 Positions)

  • Knowledge of GEOINT collection and associated NGA/NRO systems
  • Experience with JEMA or low-side equivalents (e.g., ESRI Model Builder, Alteryx, Tableau Prep)
  • Experience with Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI)
  • Experience working with multi-INT data
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, adapt to dynamic mission needs, and develop/test new analytic methodologies

Traditional Data Scientist (1 Position)

Knowledge of GEOINT collection and associated NGA/NRO system

  • Experience leveraging SQL
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Grafana, Tableau, or Kibana
  • Proficiency with common programming languages including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with object-oriented programming
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, adapt to dynamic mission needs, and develop/test new analytic methodologies
