Position Overview

The Regulated Claims Settlement Coordinator supports the Claims Settlement Team through leading the review and response to disputed claims submitted through state and federal arbitration processes.

The Regulated Claims Settlement Coordinator will be responsible for supporting Zelis' settlement offers and pricing after disputes have been filed with federal and state arbitrations, packaging and summarizing objective data and the arguments in support of Zelis' position.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepares and presents Zelis' response packages to cases submitted for arbitration at both the state and federal level under the NSA

  • Provide input and guidance on the selection process for certified arbitration entities under the NSA

  • Create a scalable IDR defense package through improved automation in the creation and compilation of the necessary data elements

  • Ensure Claims Settlement processes deliver required information for arbitration reviews and position Zelis for optimal success

  • Provides monthly performance reporting to departmental leadership.

  • Confirms that all documentation adheres to Zelis standards regarding privacy, compliance, legal aspects, and HIPAA standards.

  • Ensures all cases remain compliant with required timelines for responses and required Zelis input

  • Performs other related responsibilities as assigned.

What You'll Bring to Zelis:

  • Threeyears or more experiencewith healthcare claims settlement

  • Experience with healthcarearbitration, mediation,or contract negotiationsetting

  • Knowledge ofthe full Microsoft Office Suite of products to include, but not limited to,MS Outlook, MS Word,MSExcel,and MSPowerPoint

  • A background in healthcare collections, provider billing,negotiationsorcomplianceis helpful.

  • Bachelor's degree helpful

Location and Workplace Flexibility

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

Base Salary Range

$19.00 - $24.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
