Job Description

Kearney & Company is seeking a Junior Contracts Administrator to join our team! The successful candidate will develop and use functional experience and expertise in the review of NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontracts, will prepare requests for proposals to subcontractors, and may support the analysis of RFPs and solicitations, basic pricing, and contract terms and conditions. On a day-to-day basis, this position will perform responsibilities such as some or all of the following:

  • In addition, the Jr. Contracts Administrator will assist in the preparation of internal contracts reports and information for Contract management, and in the development and implementation of new policies and processes, to include research, drafting, and support of internal compliance functions.
  • The Jr. Contracts Administrator will coordinate extensively with the corporate Accounting Department for proper understanding and entry of contract information into the corporate accounting system, and coordination of resolution of accounting and invoicing issues which are related to contract provisions.
  • The successful candidate will assist in maintaining soft-copy contracts records and monitoring archival status. This includes entering and monitoring contract and vendor information into shared databases.
  • As directed by Contracts management, the Jr. Contracts Administrator will maintain verbal and written communications with internal, Government, and commercial contracting personnel to monitor and complete reporting and compliance functions; negotiate contract and subcontract terms and conditions and modifications; and to discuss issues of contract performance and administration, invoicing, and contract closeout issues.
  • The successful candidate will leverage their working knowledge to reference and interpret the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Department of Defense supplement to the FAR (DFARS), as well as various other Federal agency regulations to support contract administration and business processes
  • The Jr. Contracts Administrator will be an organized individual capable of multi-tasking with accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be required to manage multiple functions and interact with personnel at all levels of management.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to independently analyze, interpret, research, and summarize key issues
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent reading comprehension skills required
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. secret level security clearance (requires US Citizenship)

Preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience with contract administration for contracts with the Federal Government
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, DocuSign or similar pipeline or document management platforms
  • Experience with the analysis of agreements, and negotiating contract terms and conditions

The expected salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $76,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
