Description The Threat Engineer II will research, respond, and report cyber security incidents, including internal and external threats. This role is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Credit Union's threat intel platform and cybercrime systems. Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful: Job Duties Implement industry best practices for threat hunting and cybersecurity operations, such as MITRE ATT&CK and NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) Research industry trends, identify ongoing security threats, analyze new security testing tools, and recommend new product and service solutions Provide status reports and recommendations to leadership on threat exposure and overall program compliance In partnership with leadership provide support and guidance related to security technologies, threat research and response, and effectively communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Support in the design and implementation of Cyber Threat Hunting and Cyber Intelligence programs and processes to ensure effectiveness, consistency, and requirements are met Assist in the development of threat intelligence specific to incident response including dark web, social, and brand Participate as a key member of the cyber incident response team to identify and remediate security incidents Collaborate with internal and external partners and key stakeholders to understand, document, and assess threat exposure Essential Skills Minimum 3 years' experience insupporting cyber intelligence programs; preferably in a mid to large sized organization in the financial services industry Knowledge of IT security standards and framework (such as NIST, MITRE, COBIT, CISA, ISA) Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms (such as Anomali, Threat Connect, Recorded Future) Ability to convey technical/security requirements to non-technical business departments Ability to problem solve effectively, with strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong interpersonal and consensus building skills with the ability to build trust and foster a collaborative spirit in driving programs forward Working knowledge of Firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanners, Behavior Analytics is preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Certification/License: Security Incident Response certifications (at least one of OSCP, GIAC, CCFP) Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 \| Rocklin, CA 95765 \| (HYBRID) Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $111k - $122k annually + annual bonus Target Compensation inRocklin, CA 95765: $122k - $134k annually + annual bonus Benefits options include: Traditional medical, dental, and vision coverage 401K matching up to 5% per pay period Paid Time Off (PTO): You'll accrue up to 15 vacation days in your first year.
