Job Description: The Design, Training, and Development team aims to optimize the entire professional development (PD) cycle through closely aligning the intent and content of our training experiences (including live and remote synchronous sessions and direct-to-customer asynchronous training experiences) with the capabilities of our Professional Learning Specialists (PLS) to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Our goal is to deliver highly impactful, user-centered training experiences that resonate deeply with educators across diverse educational settings. As the Specialist, Digital Production, PD Design, you will support the execution of accessible asynchronous learning experiences for all Amplify programs by leading the updating or source files and/or remediation of all assets on the PD resource sites to ensure that they meet WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. You will support developing a strategy and an end-to-end process to ensure efficient remediation, including the investigation of AI tools to accelerate this work. You will also support other digital production needs, as assigned. Success in this role requires expertise in accessibility laws and requirements, accessibility tools such as Adobe, and PD design to ensure effective accessibility remediation. Amplify is looking to hire a Professional Development Design Specialist with a background in accessibility and professional development design to join our professional development team for a one-year fixed term assignment. Essential Responsibilities: Project Management & Execution
Detailed Planning: Detailed project plans and timelines for accessibility remediation, ensuring all aspects are thoroughly planned and executed. Documentation: Assist in maintaining project documentation and records to ensure all project information is accurately captured and accessible. Identify issues & Propose Resolution: Identify issues and propose resolutions for any issues or obstacles that arise during project execution to keep projects on track. Outcome Reporting: Report on project outcomes and their impact to team leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability. Quality Control and Consistency: Ensure quality control and consistency across all deliverables, maintaining high standards of quality in all work produced. Follow guidelines and best practices set by senior team members to maintain project standards. Communication: Maintain open communication with team leaders regarding project status and contribute to team meetings with updates on individual progress.
Accessibility Expertise
Accessibility Expertise: Maintain deep expertise in accessibility laws, requirements and compliance Design Alignment: Align PD design with accessibility updates that require product knowledge, such as alt text. Training and Support: As needed, support accessibility training for the PD design team and provide support and guidance to designers when creating an accessible asset.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work across Teams: Partner across teams to ensure accessible assets meet Amplify branding guidelines. Information Alignment: Share and receive key information to keep teams aligned. This helps ensure that everyone is informed and working towards the same objectives. Incorporate Feedback: Gather input from prioritized teams to refine and enhance accessible assets and templates. Use this feedback to make necessary adjustments and improve overall effectiveness. Support Projects: Assist in managing collective projects by contributing expertise and solving problems. Track progress and document updates to facilitate smooth project execution.
Create High-Quality Accessible Assets
Remediate and update source file assets: Remediate and update the source files for a range of assets, including pdfs and videos, to ensure they are WCAG 2.1 compliant and meet state/district needs AI strategy: Investigate, propose and execute AI strategy to support efficient and effective remediation Develop accessible templates: Create accessible templates for a variety of resource types that include clear directions, guiding principles and considerations to support effective learning and implementation.
Continuous Evolution & Integration of Feedback
Feedback Collection and Analysis: Systematically gather feedback from stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of the remediated assets. Continuous Improvement: Analyze feedback to identify areas for enhancement and make data-driven adjustments to accessibility processes, templates and assets to better meet designer needs and compliance goals. Feedback Loop Management: Establish and manage structured feedback loops to facilitate ongoing dialogue between relevant stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Innovation and Best Practices: Stay updated on industry best practices and innovations in accessibility, integrating new methods and technologies as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 2+ years of accessibility experience At least 1+ years of experience designing and facilitating professional development assets Demonstrated proficiency with instructional and visual design Experience using design and accessibility tools, such as Google Slides, video editing software, Articulate, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop Proven time management skills when managing multiple tasks Excellent skill and comfort with technology-based productivity tools, including Google Applications and video conferencing programs (Google Meet, Zoom)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching with, implementing, or facilitating professional development with Amplify products Proven knowledge of adult learning principles and experience applying them when delivering learning experiences to adults Demonstrated expertise with supporting diverse student populations (English Language Learners, Students with Disabilities, Gifted/Talented, etc.)
What we offer: Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs.
