The Senior Administrative Assistant performs comprehensive administrative support related tasks for our Chief Commercial Lines Claims Officer and the Commercial Claims organization.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Administrative Assistant, you will:

  • Research, calculate, and abstract information and supporting data in preparation for reports, charts and graphs.

  • Utilize Microsoft 365 applications on a regular basis (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Correlate and edit material submitted by others which may be presented to leadership in draft format.

  • Compose correspondence, from dictation or verbal direction, with clarity and conciseness.

  • Carry out details of the assigned leader's particular responsibilities.

  • Relieve assigned leadership of routine and administrative details by maintaining a thorough knowledge of the leader's work and anticipating the needs and priorities of the assigned leader.

  • Assemble, calculate, process, and may have authority to review expense reports, lease car reports, check requisitions and miscellaneous expense transactions.

  • Assist with travel planning, and with the planning and execution of large-scale multi-day meetings.

  • May act as a delegate to approve online systems on behalf of those supported.

  • Handle confidential information and maintain the security of the leader's records and files.

  • Maintain a non-conflict calendar and inform the assigned leader of scheduled meetings and appointments on a timely basis.

What it Takes

  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.

  • Previous experience as an administrative secretary/assistant beneficial.

  • Broad knowledge of company policies and procedures.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Mastery of office and administrative support skills.

  • Ability to assume responsibility with minimal supervision and make decisions within the scope of assigned authority.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, a personal computer, and various software packages.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 356 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) strongly preferred.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
