What to Expect

This position is expected to start around May or June 2026 and continue through theSummerterm (endingapproximately August 2026) or continuing into Fall 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so. We ask for a minimum of12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work40 hoursper week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-timeduring the academic year.

As Tesla advances itsRoboTaxiand autonomous vehicle initiatives, we areseekinga proactive and analytical individual to support the planning, execution, and optimization of Robotaxi maintenance operations. TheProject Manager Internwill play a critical role in ensuring seamless integration ofRoboTaxisystems with field service workflows, driving efficiency, and supporting data-driven decision-making. This position requires a blend of technical curiosity, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to scale autonomous vehicle operations. This role involves analyzing and improving existing processes, providing feedback to stakeholders, and collaborating with teams to implement changes. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of Tesla's operations and be able to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.


What You'll Do
  • Build andmaintaindashboardsto track critical KPIs (e.g., fleet management, technician efficiency, service cycle times) usingExcelor internal Tesla tools

  • Analyze data and performance metricstoidentifytrends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization inRoboTaxioperations

  • Collaborate withsenior leadershipto develop and refine operational documents, workflows, and process standards forRoboTaxiservice initiatives

  • Conducttime studiesand process reviews to evaluate efficiency and recommend improvements forRoboTaxideployment and maintenance initiatives

  • Travel to field sitesas needed tovalidateprocesses, gather feedback, and support on-ground implementation of Robo operations

  • Work cross-functionallywith the service team to ensure alignment, resolve integration challenges, and improve collaboration between Robo operations and customer-facing support teams

  • Support theexecution ofRoboTaxiservice programs, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with regional teams

  • Assistin the execution of key initiatives, including production planning, shop loading, scheduling, and mobile service response

  • Partner with other regional teams on best practices and recommendations


What You'll Bring
  • ProficiencyinExcel(data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and otherMS Suite tools(PowerPoint, Word, Teams).

  • Background inoperations, project management, or autonomous systems(preferred)

  • Ability toprioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to dynamic environments

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working incross-functional teams(e.g., engineering, service, operations)

  • Willingness to work overnight shifts(less than 5% of the time) for time studies and operational analysis

  • Willingness to travel across Arizona, Nevada, Texas as needed to supportRoboTaxioperations

  • Willingness to travel to otherregions as needed
