Description

    Repairing and maintaining sheet-metal components for mechanical and electronic systems, ensuring strict adherence to performance standards
  • Applying advanced techniques such as welding, cutting, and bending to fabricate custom sheet-metal parts in alignment with design specifications
  • Conducting inspections and quality checks on sheet-metal assemblies and components to identify defects or ensure compliance with standards
  • Collaborating with technical teams to implement modifications or upgrades on sheet-metal systems to support project needs
  • Preparing technical documentation and maintaining records of repair and fabrication activities to ensure traceability and compliance with DoD requirements

Requirements

  • Four or more years of experience in a sheet-metal worker role
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated ability to design, fabricate, and repair sheet-metal components for mechanical and electronic systems, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and DoD standards
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics for precise cutting, bending, and assembly of sheet-metal materials
  • Proficiency in utilizing advanced equipment such as power rollers, presses, and welding tools for maintenance and repair operations
  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance


Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to aid in customization and adjustments during fabrication
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems involving sheet-metal components in operational environments
  • Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing departments, for repair and maintenance initiatives
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and process control standards for sheet-metal fabrication and maintenance processes

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
