Summary: Significant regulatory enforcement can have a multi-year lifecycle to completion and requires coordinated, multi-departmental efforts which include oversight and routine engagement with internal stakeholders to ensure task completion per required timeframes. This role provides opportunities to interface with numerous levels of Company management and utilize interpersonal skills to gain cooperation and buy in. Role may require engagement, selection, and oversight of contract labor to assist in completion of required tasks. Role will also assume DOT Compliance responsibilities over Special Permits maintenance and Hazardous Liquid Annual Reporting. The Company maintains multiple Special Permits for gas and liquid operations that require frequent regulatory notifications and reporting to both Federal and State agencies. These permits require coordination with operations to identify and act on instances when a new permit or a permit extension may be required. The Hazardous Liquid Annual reporting function will involve working closely with multiple internal teams such as GIS and Pipeline Integrity to compile and QC data in order to submit multiple reports by mid-year, year over year. Role also assists DOT Compliance, Technical Services, Operations, and other key supporting internal departments with interpretation of existing, proposed and pending new regulations and helps develop impact studies and implementation of new or updated procedures and programs that support Company compliance with all regulatory requirements. Role will also monitor Company enforcement history to identify trends and assist in formulating action plans to mitigate or prevent repeat enforcement. This position provides the unique opportunity to be based in an office environment but spend a portion of time in the field directly engaged with operations and supporting personnel.
