Keysight's Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located in Colorado Springs, CO exists to provide precision machined components and assemblies that enable the capabilities of Keysight's industry leading electronic measurement equipment. As a quality technician you will help define, document and execute inspection plans using advance metrology equipment to guarantee components meet Keysight's exacting standards. You will also perform technical work to ensure that equipment and machinery relating to quality/testing activities are maintained at optimal working conditions with minimum down time. You will also be responsible to ensure other employees are certified on all the inspection equipment, provide training and ensure that the quality standard is applied for consistent results.

Keysight is looking for an individual who is self-motivated, analytical, organized, detail oriented and assertive. This position requires that you drive our quality initiative while not having management responsibility so you must have leadership qualities and good communication skills. You must also be a team player who enjoys working in a multi-cultural environment.


Responsibilities

  • Mechanical inspection of precision machined components.
    • CMM (Optical and Touch Probe), Interferometry, Laser Micrometer, and other advanced metrology equipment.
  • Calibrations of metrology equipment.
  • CAPA Corrective and Preventive Action support in relation to NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) with thorough documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpreting specifications including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Work experience in a QC and manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Preferred: Lean, Corrective and Preventive Action, root cause investigation, Kaizen (continuous improvement-PDCA) knowledge and understanding
  • Preferred: ISO 9001, AS9100, and / or FDA Certifications

Experience with any/all the following is highly desired:

  • Advanced Metrology
    • Programmable optical measurement tools (optical CMM)
    • Keyence Image Measurement system
    • Interferometers used for surface finish and form analysis
    • Laser micrometer

Education

  • University degree, specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range:

USD $49,470.00 - USD $82,450.00 Year
