Job Duties
Working with the Football Operations staff and reporting to the Head Football Coach, the individual serving in this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

- Responsible to mentor and assist student-athletes transition into the college environment while ensuring player development needs are addressed and met.
- Serve as liaison between student-athletes and internal or external departments and agencies as it relates to player development. This includes career development/employment opportunities.
- Supports the student-athletes with housing, dining, and academics.
- Coordinate personal development and coordinates community service initiatives.
- Mentor student-athletes with educational support, training and knowledge to manage their personal finances and improve financial decision making
- Identifies and monitors at-risk student-athletes.
- Serves as point of contact for student-athletes to disclose personal issues and/or concerns. Refers student to appropriate university department or external agency to ensure proper support and/or counseling opportunity is provided.
- Coordinate all aspects of NFL Pro Day
- Coordinate registration of Pro Sport agents and education to student-athletes.
- Assists in the coordination of ECU football clinics. (e.g. High School coaches clinic)
- Liaison with Pirate Club for football related letterwinner reunions and activities.
- Perform duties with professional conduct representing the university and athletics department and provide leadership cultivating an environment of compliance, performance excellence, respect, and student-athlete well-being.
- Comply with all applicable laws, policies, by-laws, regulations, procedures and guidelines of North Carolina, University of North Carolina system, East Carolina University, the Department of Athletics, the National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations.
- Build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with athletics, Pirate Club, and University staff, students, and all constituents and stakeholders.
- Nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and travel are required in the performance of duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Head Football Coach.
Minimum Education/Experience
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and previous football experience coaching, playing, or working in athletic administration at the high school, college or professional level.

Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions and conferred by the time of hire.
