Post-Doctoral Associate

Working under the direction of Drs. Martin Felices, you will engage in research evaluating novel biologic and cellular NK cell therapeutic methodologies to treat solid tumors (lung cancer and mesothelioma).

The postdoctoral candidate in question will work on projects evaluating novel biologics complexes designed to amplify NK cell immunotherapy in the context of solid tumors. The postdoc will also work genetic editing technologies to generate NK cellular products for immunotherapy. The projects will delve on a variety of Natural Killer cell biology assays, both in vitro and in vivo in xenogeneic models

(70% of effort) CRISPR editing of tumor cell lines and primary NK cells will be necessary to assess for the project. The candidate will also be involved in production of these molecules and NK cell gene editing.

(30% of effort) The candidate will also be expected to analyze literature, prepare and present data, collaborate with other groups, help train and work with graduate students, and generate reports or publications.

Required Qualifications:

-PhD
-Knowledge of assays required to explore anti-tumor approaches.

-Experience with flow cytometry, Incucyte, animal models (xenotransplantation or syngeneic models)

Preferred Qualifications:

-Publication record with minimum 2 years experience cancer biology and use of biologics.
-Experience with a broad spectrum of NK cell biology assays highly desired.
-Experience with transduction/transfection techniques (retrovirus/electroporation) will be a plus.
